The Sentencing
Advocacy Program at the Benedict Center will work in conjunction
with the federal defender, public defender, childrens services,
private defense counsel, and probation officers on a fee for service
basis in constructing community sentencing plans. With the Benedict
Centers knowledge of correctional and community based facilities,
Sentencing Program staff are able to present appropriate alternatives.
This includes advocating for institutional programs and specific treatment
programs that will address issues such as employment, educational programs,
housing, counseling, victims services, and placement in a residential
or out-patient supported living residence.
